We would like to thank everyone who supported the SSC 24hr Sail 2008 and made it such a fantastic event. If you would like to share your memories of the event for future generations please head over to sscoldsalts.co.uk where you can record them alongside other past and present club members.

The Salterns Sailing Club, a small children's sailing club run by children for children, held its 10th annual sponsored 24 hour sail for BBC Children in Need on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th November 2008; from 4.30pm on the Friday evening, the night of the live telethon, and then on through the following day until 4.30pm on the Saturday.

The children are aged from 6-16, with the older, more experienced sailors sailing in shifts overnight and the younger members coming down during the day to join in the fun.
